How to Play Night At The Infirmary

What Night At The Infirmary Is

Night At The Infirmary (Anomaly) by A.D. Games puts you on a night shift at a human infirmary in Roblox. Patients queue at your reception window, and your job is to decide which ones are real and which are anomalies wearing human faces. The game is a co-op-friendly horror experience built around a desk workflow: inspect, compare, reject or admit, then treat legitimate patients until the shift clock runs out.

Unlike action-heavy Roblox horrors, most of your time is spent at the reception desk running a repeatable inspection loop. Master that loop and you survive; rush it and a Skinwalker walks into your infirmary. This guide covers the full how-to-play flow from spawning in to collecting your end-of-shift payout.

Controls and Desk Interactions

Movement follows standard Roblox bindings — WASD on PC, thumbstick on mobile, controller sticks on console. Interact with desk objects using the prompt key shown on screen (typically E on PC). Full binding tables live on our controls page, including photo camera, CCTV monitor, intake stamp, patient registration PC, and the red shutter button on the left side of the desk.

Spend your first minute at the desk touching every interactable: take a test photo, flip through CCTV channels, and locate the shutter without pressure from a live queue. Knowing where each tool sits saves precious seconds when three patients stack up and your Sanity starts dropping from camera stares.

One Full Night Shift — Step by Step

Every shift follows the same backbone. When a patient reaches the window, pause and run the three-layer check before you admit anyone:

  1. Window inspection — scan eyes, mouth, teeth, posture, skin tone, and whether the head tracks you unnaturally. See visual tells for the full symptom list.
  2. Photo comparison — trigger the desk camera, wait for the print to develop, and compare the snapshot to the live patient. Mismatched features, static grain, or cursed grins are hard rejects. Details on photo tells.
  3. CCTV review — switch to security feeds and look at the same patient from lobby and check-in angles. Some anomalies look normal at the window but reveal void bodies, stretched limbs, or direct camera stares only on CCTV. Read camera tells.

Treat the three layers as an OR check: one confirmed red flag in any layer means press the shutter to reject. Only admit when window, photo, and CCTV all agree. After rejection, wait for the patient to leave, then raise the shutter for the next arrival.

For legitimate patients, stamp intake paperwork, register them on the PC, print a badge, and assign the correct treatment room based on their illness icon. Repeat until the shift timer ends. Our first night walkthrough walks through this loop with beginner pacing.

Rejecting vs. Admitting

The red shutter button on the left side of the desk is your most important tool. Press it once you are confident a patient is an anomaly. The barrier lowers, the patient leaves, and your end-of-shift anomaly counter rises — which typically improves payout. See how to reject patients for timing and queue management.

Admitting a real patient keeps the infirmary running and earns treatment rewards. Admitting an anomaly plants a hidden threat inside the building that may not reveal itself until mid-shift. Rejecting a real patient by mistake costs a little time and score but never spawns a Skinwalker. When unsure, re-check the photo and CCTV before deciding — speed is cheaper than a wrong admission.

Sanity, Items, and Team Play

Staring at certain CCTV anomalies, witnessing jumpscares, and letting imposters inside drains Sanity. Low Sanity makes the desk harder to read and can end your shift early. Recovery items and desk comforts are listed on items. Offer coffee at the desk when the game allows if your Sanity is shaky before a long queue.

In squad play, split roles: one player owns window calls and shutter decisions, another handles photo comparison, a third watches CCTV. One voice should say admit or reject to prevent double mistakes. Solo players run all three layers themselves — use the anomaly checklist tool if you want a structured routine without alt-tabbing.

After a Shift and What to Learn Next

When the night ends, review how many anomalies you caught versus how many slipped through. Failed admissions trigger interior events covered on events and may require combat from how to beat anomalies. New players should chain this guide into the beginner guide and detection guide before pushing harder nights on all nights.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you play Night At The Infirmary on Roblox?

Work the night reception desk, inspect each human patient through window, photo, and CCTV layers, reject anomalies with the shutter button, and admit real patients for treatment until the shift ends.

What button rejects patients in Night At The Infirmary?

Press the red shutter button on the left side of the reception desk. The barrier lowers and the patient leaves. Raise the shutter after they depart before the next arrival.

Can you play Night At The Infirmary solo?

Yes. Solo players run every inspection layer themselves. Squads can split window, photo, and CCTV roles for faster, more accurate decisions.

What happens if you admit an anomaly?

An admitted anomaly becomes an interior threat — often a Skinwalker — that can attack staff and drain Sanity mid-shift. Rejection is always safer than a wrong admission.

Where are the full controls listed?

Our controls page documents every desk interaction, movement binding, and platform-specific input for PC, mobile, and controller.
